A retired couple, determined to enjoy the freedom of full-time RV living without being limited by hookups or crowded campgrounds, reached out to us for a custom Victron RV solar system. They wanted a solution that would meet their energy needs and allow them to explore off-grid destinations with ease and confidence.
Solar System Goals
Run 1 , possibly two ACs
Enough battery to run an AC all night
Enough solar to keep it charged
Front Storage Bay Installation
We designed and built a custom battery system to house 8x 206Ah 12V heated lithium batteries in a 2s4p configuration. Next, we found space for 2x Multiplus 3000 inverters wired in parallel, along with room for the MPPT chargers, monitors, Lynx distributors, and other essential components. The result? A powerful, efficient system that we’re proud of—and we think it turned out great.

2400w 2800 Watts of Solar
On the roof, we initially planned for 2400W of solar, but after getting the panels up and discussing with the customer, we found room for two more. When running air conditioners off solar, every extra watt counts, so maximizing the available space was key to meeting their off-grid energy needs.
Cerbo GX Monitoring
The Cerbo GX Touch Screen monitor is the ultimate way to interact with your Victron solar system, providing real-time updates on your battery state of charge, inverter use, solar collection, and more. Its colorful tiles and intuitive animations make it easy to understand how your system is performing, giving you the confidence to worry less and enjoy your RV adventures even more.
